Girls Like Bass – All Female Sober Rave

March 31 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Once upon a time, in a marvellous quirky queendom called Brighton, two sisters met and discovered their shared love for dance music. Though they searched and searched the conscious community for ‘club’ style dances that allowed them to embody their fullest feminine, wild & hot selves in a party atmosphere they felt something more was needed…

Four years later, one still night, Annalisa proposed to Lucy that it was time. They had to start their own club night that would be the most immersive and raunchiest girls night in town.

Not only this, but it had to be a sober party, one that brought genuine connection and a new lease of life into the sisterhood.

Girls like bass. It’s a fact. AND we looove to get crazy! We looove to party and we know how to party!

So…

  • If you’re free 31st March 2023 between 7pm – 11pm
  • If you are a woman or consider yourself to be a woman (This includes non-binary and trans)
  • If you want to party but are sober or would like to experience a night sober

GIRLS LIKE BASS is for YOU!!

Join us for our *second party* at One Church Gloucester Place, Brighton….

THE SOUND EXPERIENCE

Expect incredible sets from our DJ Queens Redpeppa and Lucy (DJ Wylde) as they share their passion for all things dance music! Lucy will be taking you on an eclectic drum and bass journey to tantalise your body and warm you up ready for the main event Redpeppa!

Redpeppa has travelled all over the world finding inspiration from a range of cultures and music styles. You’ll find a hypnotic blend of House, Disco, Old Skool 90s Rave and Techno in her mixes… often infused with elements of Jazz and Funk!

Heavily influenced by underground parties and the ethos and roots of house music in Chicago; Red’s energy and sound is irresistibly funky and ’feel good’! She undoubtedly creates a space for all to feel accepted and liberated.

NEW to this event we will have some live music filling the party hall from 7-740 for you to drop in and land! Acts tbc…

Club lighting and video projections add to the ambience transforming this beautiful church space into a truly immersive dance space to liberate your sacred and human being.

LOVE YOUR BODY

When was the last time you really allowed yourself to be wild and truly let go? At Girls Like Bass, loving your body is at the forefront of our ethos. If you want to let yourself be free, you are so welcome! If you want to cover yourself in glitter, you are so welcome! If you want to draw over your body, you are so welcome!

We will have glitter fairy’s ready and awaiting your gorgeous self to be transformed into who you want to be. It’s time to let go of any negative beliefs that you think about yourself and start to own who you are! I hope this experience can shed a light on you and leave a mark that will inspire you to live each day in your epic self!

THE BAR EXPERIENCE

Although this is a sober party, we still feel the importance of having a ‘club’ experience and spoiling ourselves! We have called upon the hands of two drink alchemists to bring you some of the most nourishing and healthiest drinks we could find! And it’s all alcohol free! Expect delicious Three Spirit and Karmaceuticals mocktails to light you up!

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS A COMPLETELY SOBER EVENT AND WE EXPECT ALL WHO ATTEND TO RESPECT THIS REQUEST.

A sober night not only supports all sisters in recovery, it is really healthy for our physical body and allows us space to discover our true inner party girl who needs no substance to fully be herself.

THE PYJAMA PARTY

You didn’t think it was all about the bass did you? Nope! Downstairs we will have a gentle, cosy space to nourish your heart and connect with sisters new and known.

Our snuggle queen, Eshana Spiers leading you through playful connection games, snuggle puddle corners and so much more. Come and experience a place of deep relaxation, nervous system reset and a chance to connect with sisters alike in a safe and held environment.

Dive into deep conversation with our Tarot Oracle Grace Sun, receive nourishing touch from our Masseuse Helen and strengthen the sisterhood in hang out and creative areas.

You could even spend the whole evening in your PJs down here!

CONNECTING THE SISTERHOOD

Opening our upstairs party space is the joyful and empowered cofounder Anna-Lisa! This events Community Activator she will be bringing us together in an opening circle to connect with our bodies and each other through dance and play before handing over to the DJs.

Our scrummy gentle space downstairs will be opened by Eshana with a softening opening circle and a chance to get to know other women.
