What is ‘Reading the Bible’?
Reading the Bible is a group where you can explore the Christian Bible and what it means (and might mean) to you, in community. The first part will get us thinking about what the Bible is and how we can approach and interpret it, to find application for its wisdom in our lives. The second part will build on this, looking at some of the big themes that run throughout the old and new testaments – giving us a chance to put into practice some of what we’ve discovered in part one.
Who is ‘Reading the Bible’ for?
This programme is for anyone who wants to learn about – and examine their relationship to – the Bible. Whether you have never read the Bible, you’re coming back after time away, or you want to reimagine how you content with it, there will be space for you to contribute and grow.
How will it work?
Each session will include a mixture of input from Lianne and Sam, group discussion and individual activities. There is no expectation for you to know or believe anything in particular (either now, or at the end of our time together!)
When you sign up, you’ll have the chance to share anything you want to get out of being in the group. The content will evolve and adapt based on the interests and queries of those taking part. There will also be links to further resources and suggested Bible readings to explore between sessions.
