What we do
Our faith inspires us to believe that another world is possible. We run a collective of projects, bound together around shared values, called ‘A One Thing’, that all aim to help people in need.
One Church Brighton is passionate about justice and equality. We believe that at the heart of Christian faith is a call to get involved and use all the resources we have to benefit the common good, helping to create fairer and more flourishing communities. We do this through a variety of projects and initiatives. You’ll find many of them listed above and here on the ‘A One Thing’ site. These projects didn’t start because of some board meeting or church leader, but because people, just like you, saw a need and put their hand up to get involved.

Professional training for people who want satisfying jobs in specialty coffee – and who might not normally get a chance.

We find and roast extraordinary coffee, paying extra to conserve nature and empower growers

How we are funded
We are very grateful to all the individuals that gift money towards what we are doing, and to our very generous donors, without which we couldn’t do what we do.
Funding from the Benefact Trust, is enabling us to bring all our projects closer together, so we can provide our communities with more holistic, wrap around support – connecting individuals to other projects and activities across our programme including food, employability, family and young people, mental health and wellbeing support
Funding from the Westhill Endowment is allowing us to work more with our young people to enable a greater sense of community, wellbeing and agency.
Funding from Garfield Weston has provided support to our Pro Baristas offer, enabling us to share learning, and continue to support trainees and move them into employment
