Our Ethos
Here at One Church, we nurture curiosity, creativity, and connection within our children’s work and wider community. We create space for children to question, wonder, and explore their experiences of faith and life through stories, crafts, contemplative activities, and discussion. Within our sessions, we hold values of kindness, empathy, and respect at the heart of what we do, as we journey together through life and faith as a community.

Family Events
We love celebrating throughout the year with family events that help build connection between families and the wider community. These gatherings create space to spend time together, have fun, and make memories. Recent events include a fireworks night with hot dogs and sparklers, a trip to Rock Farm for pumpkin carving and apple pressing, and movie nights hosted by parents – with many more to come!

Our next event
Come along to Stanmer Park on 7th March for a family friendly stroll.

Sunday Services
On Sunday mornings, everyone begins together in our main service for the first half hour, where we sing, pray, and spend time as a community. After this, children usually head out to the hall for their sessions.
Our Forest group (ages 5-11) takes part in a session that typically includes a short catch-up and introductions, a game, a calming mindfulness moment, a story or learning focus, and then a reflective activity or craft.
Our Buds group (ages 0-4) has a separate space where children attend with their adults, giving them time to play, explore, and gently engage with themes from our wider children’s work.

All One Services
Throughout the year, we hold All One Services, where people of all ages stay together in the service and worship as one community. These services explore a theme, story, or celebration through interactive worship, play, discussion, and often games or challenges that bring different generations together.

Safeguarding
You can view our safeguarding policy by clicking below. It outlines how we work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Persons listed in the document.
